February Crafting Moment!!

I finished my dress (okay almost finished, I convinced my mom to put in the zipper after I tried for 2 hours). I am happy with it despite the imperfections. Now it just needs to be warm enough that I can wear it!

January Crafting Moments

I am hoping to spend more time sewing and crafting then watching tv this year. . . we will see what happens. Here is the round up for January crafting!!!

Babies need Diapers, don't you think?

The other project was for me. My first sewing project for 2010 was this. . .

I would have to say. . . "Not bad for free fabric and already used pattern!" The cost of this shirt was only time!!!!

Next month I am going to tackle my first dress. . . wish me luck!!!

Not a teacher but a crafter!!!

Here is one of the things I've been spending my free time doing. . . crafting.
I now it's silly but I like me a fun craft project.

Cloth Napkins why I like them
  • very cute
  • cuts back on paper waste
  • easy!
  • add a little fun to the table
All I had to do was buy 4 fat quarters at the fabric store. I sewed them together, inside out the fabric and zig-zagged the edges. I really like they way they turned out. Next I'm going to try turning under the edges and hemming the fabric. It will not be as easy as the inside out method but will be cheaper as it will use less fabric.

GRADUATION!

Even though there are no jobs . . .  I still get to graduate!!!

Here is one of my home-made, do it yourself announcements.  I wasn't about to pay $70 dollars for the official ones.  Instead, it only cost my $30 dollars and a couple hours of my time!

Plus, I wanted to personalize the message in my announcements.  I didn't like the formal wording (not to mention forced praises to your school)  that you get when you buy direct from the university

I also included a picture of me in all my announcements.  It was another DIY project with the pictures taken by my personal photographer at the tulip farms in.  Thanks, Charlotte.

 I love DIY projects!
